THE ATHENAEUM CONSERVATORY

ATHENAEUM is a leading presence in the field of music in Greece. With the carefully chosen educational syllabus it has introduced and the teaching methods it has applied, the Conservatory has succeeded in upgrading and liberating musical studies. Its students enjoy ideal conditions for the development of their creative and interpretative abilities within an environment that respects and promotes their talent.

MORE THAN JUST A CONSERVATORY

The ATHENAEUM CONSERVATORY is a lively musical institution. Its operation within the Athenaeum International Cultural Centre provides its students with unique opportunities to expand their musical horizons and cultural scope. Almost every day, concerts, recitals, seminars, conferences and other cultural events take place to which the students have free access.

MORE THAN JUST A BUILDING

The building that houses the ATHENAEUM CONSERVATORY is one of the most beautiful protected buildings in Athens. Its authentic traditional quality is apparent everywhere. It features:
* Classrooms for daily study.
* Two concert halls for activities of the students.
* Music Library.
* Discotheque.
* Recreational areas.
* Restaurant - canteen for students and teachers

SOLID BASE AND WIDE RANGE OF STUDIES

Musical education starts with preparatory instruction, is completed with graduation and then expanded to a post-graduate cycle of studies. The Conservatory avails those students who have achieved high standards of the opportunity to perform frequently before an audience.

DISTINGUISHED MUSICIANS-TEACHERS

At the Conservatory all musical instruments are taught -- even rare ones like the harp or the harpsichord. The number of famous teachers that teach at the ATHENAEUM is testimony to the high standards and prestige of the syllabus.

WITH VISION AND IN A SPIRIT OF NOBLE EMULATION

ATHENAEUM's students form an excellent community characterised by keen noble rivalry in which harmony prevails. The moral standards and visions they obtain along with their studies become the basic elements that characterise their ensuing work. Our graduates (approx. 400 up today) distinguish themselves in the musical field of Greece as composers, soloists, musicians and music teachers.

ENROLMENT - FEES
